Julie Beth Redman
Julie Beth (Hughes) Redman, age 60, of Casey, IL, passed away at 11:44 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL. She was born February 3, 1965, in St. Petersburg, FL, the daughter of William Jennings Hughes and Betty Jean (Richmond) Hughes. On July 9, 2011, she married Ronald Lamar Redman in Clark County, IL; he passed away on January 19, 2018.
Survivors include her daughter, Holly Griffin (Jake) of Casey, IL; stepson, Spencer “Chase” Griffin (Sharon) in Paris, IL; stepdaughter, Stacy Peters (Jordan) of Greenup, IL; sisters, Theresa Wade of Albany, KY and Billie Jean Gardner (Roy) of Freeport, IL a nephew and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ron Redman.
Julie was a 1983 graduate of Westfield High School. She worked as a clerk for Snedeker & Worms Insurance Agency and then worked as an administrative assistant in the business office at Eastern Illinois University until April 2011. Julie attended Moriah Church of God for many years. She enjoyed music, reading, and playing pool. She also enjoyed being outside and camping in her younger years. Julie was a wonderful mother and loved spending time with her family and friends.
An updated obituary with memorial service information will be posted at a later date. Services will be held at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
