No Carts in Fairview Park Walking Paths
The Casey Police Department wants to remind residents that no golf carts, ATVs, or motorized vehicles of any kind are allowed on the walking and biking path in Fairview Park, ever.
Workers in the park reported this afternoon that multiple vehicles were seen driving on the freshly laid and still soft path within minutes of them being rolled smooth, causing damage that had to be repaired.
Permits can be revoked for such actions and other violations of the city ordinance regarding golf carts.
Walkers and bikers are requested to stay off the new pathways until the surface has had a chance to solidify, which could take a day or so with the current heat and full sunshine.
Attempting to walk on the path before the process is complete will not only leave damaging footprints but end up with asphalt covering your soles.
