Bond Issue Under Review: The $4.5 million fire prevention and safety bond proposal remains under consideration following public hearing input about property tax concerns and district bonding capacity.

State Funding Shortfall Expected: Governor Pritzker’s proposed education budget falls $140 million short of maintaining current reimbursement levels to districts, according to Illinois State Board of Education requests.

Facility Improvements Planned: Board member inquiry about parking lot barriers between Arts Hall and tennis courts will be addressed once weather permits safe equipment operation on the resurfaced area.

Long-term Retirements Announced: Two staff members submitted retirement letters with future effective dates: library aide Rebecca Stutesman (2029) and technology specialist Stephanie Hanners (2029).

Calendar Approved: The 2025-2026 school year will begin with teacher institute days August 13-14 and student instruction starting August 15.
