Ordinance Changes Considered: Alderman Richardson reported a citizen inquiry about allowing chickens within city limits, with an ordinance committee meeting planned to discuss potential changes to current regulations.

Emergency Sirens Maintenance: EMA Director Craig reported two recent activations and announced that technicians will work on sirens this week, while Alderman Hanley contacted Commercial Radio to expedite needed repairs.

Equipment Purchase Planned: Superintendent Biggs discussed the possible purchase of a used VAC truck for all departments to use, with the item to be included in next year’s appropriations.

Gun Range Improvements: Chief Henderson is working with Mike Phelps on installing fencing at the gun range as part of ongoing facility improvements.

Rate Study Meeting Scheduled: Alderman Wilson announced an upcoming meeting to review the completed water and sewer rate study that could impact future utility rates.

Pond Project Enhancements: Trout have been stocked in the park pond, and Mayor Nichols plans to contact artist Sam Dunning about carving additional animals in the pond-area tree to expand the artistic features.
