Following the budget adoption, the board proceeded to approve a series of specific tax levies to support various departments and funds.

Board members approved a General Tax Levy of $635,000. Significant funding was also directed toward infrastructure and public safety. The board adopted a County Highway Tax Levy of $250,000, an Aid to Township Bridges Tax Levy of $185,000, and a County Aid to Federal Roads Tax Levy of $185,000.

Social services and employee benefits also received funding allocations. The board approved a Federal Social Security Insurance Program Tax Levy of $270,000 and an Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Tax Levy of $555,000.

Additional levies approved by the board included:

  • Board of Health Fund: $130,000

  • Extension Education Program: $104,000

  • Community Mental Health Fund: $293,500

  • County Ambulance Fund: $699,000

  • Liability Insurance Fund: $72,000

All levy motions were passed with unanimous “aye” votes from the members present.
