After deliberating for over an hour, the board returned to open session at 8:44 p.m. to vote on the administration’s athletic recommendations.

Board member Wilhoit offered a motion to officially hire Josh Stowers as the district’s Head Football Coach. The motion was seconded by board president Connelly and passed on a unanimous roll call vote by all five present members, with board members Maxwell and Parcel absent.

The board also solidified its coaching staff for the upcoming spring athletic seasons. Following a motion by Wilhoit and a second by Baird, the board unanimously hired Mallory Jenness as the Assistant High School Softball Coach.

For the junior high athletic programs, the board unanimously approved the hiring of Kristen Morrison as the Head Junior High Softball Coach following a motion by Wilhoit and a second by Hollingsworth. Additionally, Kelly Piehl was approved to serve as a Volunteer Junior High Volleyball Coach after a motion by Wilhoit and a second by Kannmacher.
