Illinois Quick Hits: Pritzker blasts Trump military action
(The Center Square) – Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker says President Donald Trump is once again sidestepping the Constitution and failing to explain why he is taking the United States into another war.
After the president ordered military combat operations in Iran over the weekend, Pritzker said in social media posts that Trump had no justification for the attacks, no authorization from Congress and no clear objective.
PRITZKER NAMES DIVERSITY DIRECTOR TO STATE MUSEUM BOARD
Gov. J.B. Pritzker has named University of Illinois Springfield Diversity Center Director Daniel Aguilar to the Illinois State Museum Board.
Aguilar also serves on the university’s Campus Behavioral Intervention Team, the Steering Committee for the Institute for Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Social Justice, and the Committee on Belonging, Dignity, and Justice.
SEX TRAFFICKING CONVICTION
A federal jury has convicted a Chicago man on sex trafficking charges for causing a minor to engage in commercial sex in the south suburban village of Lansing.
Prosecutors say Kennard Cameron, 40, posted photos of a 15-year-old girl online in commercial sex ads, arranged encounters with individuals who responded and required the girl to turn over the proceeds.
