Following a closed session that lasted nearly two hours, the Board reconvened to vote on employment recommendations. The Board unanimously approved administrative salary increases of 3.5% for Fiscal Year 2027. These increases apply to Superintendent Mike Shackelford, Jr/Sr High School Principal Jim Sullivan, Jr/Sr High Assistant Principal (name not listed in minutes), and Monroe Elementary Principal Kacie Rhoads.

In certified staff actions, the Board looked ahead to the next school year by employing Kyle Kreutzer as the District Band Instructor for the 2026-2027 term.

The Board also addressed immediate staffing needs at Monroe Elementary, employing Claire Maulding as a substitute 3rd-grade teacher for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Additionally, Anthony J. Cox was employed as a part-time behind-the-wheel Driver Education instructor.

Prior to the personnel votes, the Board met in closed session from 5:16 p.m. to 6:56 p.m. to discuss employment, collective bargaining, and closed meeting minutes.
