The Clark County Board discussed upgrades to both digital and physical infrastructure on January 16, 2026.

Alex Carrell presented an update on the redesign of the county website under “Old Business.” He has contacted EVO Gov regarding a three-year contract. The proposed cost structure includes a base fee of $11,500, with an additional $3,000 required for the Sheriff’s Department section and $3,000 for the Ambulance Service section. The contract would also carry a $250 monthly support fee. Carrell told the Board he would keep them posted on updates.

In infrastructure matters, Highway Engineer Dallas Richardson reported that he had hoped to hear from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) regarding the Hogue Town project but has received no word, leaving the resolution unapproved.

Richardson also noted ongoing negotiations with RWE regarding road damage within the county. Chairman Rex Goble and Richardson recently met with RWE representatives regarding another project.

Separately, during a report on the Health Department meeting, Chairman Goble inquired about closing a scale pit, describing it as a “dangerous situation.”
