The Casey-Westfield varsity softball team unleashed a relentless offensive assault and rode a dominant strikeout performance from sophomore Arhianna Bonds to a commanding 15-3 non-conference road victory over Seeger on Saturday.

The Warriors’ lineup generated 12 hits and capitalized on six walks to produce runs in five of the game’s six innings. The onslaught began immediately with three runs in the top of the first and was punctuated by a massive six-run third inning that put the game out of reach early.

Junior H. Schackmann was flawless at the plate to lead Casey-Westfield, going a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run, four runs scored, and an RBI. Senior Lucy Moore also showcased her power, finishing 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored. Senior Ava Goble maintained the offensive pressure with three hits and an RBI, while junior Ella Whitacre drove in a pair of runs on a 2-for-3 day. The Warriors were also aggressive on the basepaths, swiping six stolen bases as a team.

In the circle, sophomore Arhianna Bonds was exceptional for Casey-Westfield. Bonds racked up 10 strikeouts over six innings of work, scattering six hits and issuing zero walks to earn the victory and keep the Patriot offense at bay.

Seeger managed to break through in the bottom of the fifth inning, pushing three runs across the plate to avoid the shutout. The Patriots tallied 10 hits in the contest, refusing to go down quietly. Freshmen Sydney Stephen and Lainie Serie, junior V. Middleton, and sophomore Lyla Badger each collected two hits for the home team. Stephen provided a spark with a double, while Serie utilized her speed to steal two bases.

Sophomore Lyla Badger and freshman Olivia Reitz shared pitching duties for Seeger, with Badger striking out six over four innings of relief.
