The Casey-Westfield varsity baseball team secured a decisive 10-6 victory over Paris on Thursday, utilizing a high-powered offense to overcome an early deficit and claim the non-conference win at home.
Paris struck first, jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the opening frame. However, Casey-Westfield responded immediately with a run in the bottom of the first and exploded for a five-run second inning to take control of the momentum. Despite a brief rally from Paris in the third and fourth innings, the Warriors’ pitching staff settled in, and the offense added insurance runs in the fifth and sixth to seal the game.
The Warriors’ balanced attack kept the pressure on the Paris defense throughout the afternoon, as the team combined for 12 hits.
