Casey Popcorn Festival
The Casey Popcorn Festival has run over the Labor Day weekend since 1987.
Held at the 40-acre Fairview Park in Casey, IL, the popcorn festival features three full days of free music, live entertainment, a variety of craft vendors, plus a car show, festival foods, and other activities. FREE popcorn — Illinois’ official snack food — is available each day of the festival.
A committee of three Casey residents founded the festival based on the idea of good old-fashioned family fun. The co-founders were Bernie Morgan, John McDaniel, and the late Rube Howe, who passed away in early August 2018, just weeks before the festival’s 31st anniversary.
Today, the festival has grown and expanded, adding a full carnival, mainstream entertainment acts, beer tent, and a newly redesigned Butterfield Market. Members of the festival board include Chalin Maulding, Shane Todd, Jeremy Mumford, Jen Baysinger, Kristi Duniphan, and Jenn Reddicks
