Christmas in the Park Success: The annual Christmas in the Park event attracted approximately 1,800 vehicles and raised around $6,600 in donations, according to organizer Shane Todd. Todd thanked the city for its support and recognized utility workers who helped with setup and teardown of decorations.

Snow Removal Operations: Multiple city officials praised utility workers for their snow removal efforts during recent winter weather. Superintendent Shelby Biggs expressed pride in the crew’s performance, while aldermen Brown, Jenkins, and Wilson all acknowledged the workers’ dedication during the challenging conditions.

Emergency Services Active: EMA Director David Craig reported busy operations during recent severe weather, with crews helping push vehicles out of snow and operating a warming center that served two people during the cold snap.

Fuel System Update: New fuel tanks for city operations will be ready for use by next week, according to Utility Superintendent Biggs, representing completion of an infrastructure improvement project.

Social Media Communication: Alderman Brown commended the city’s recent social media communication efforts, noting improved public information sharing through digital platforms.

Property Investigation Ongoing: Mayor Nichols will meet with City Attorney Willenborg on Friday to discuss two properties that were the subject of a resident inquiry during the public forum, with more information expected following that consultation.
