Midway Blitz arrests announced
According to the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers have arrested several dangerous criminals in Chicago over the last week.
A list of ten detained migrants included arrests for sex crimes against children, armed robbery, domestic battery and DUI.
Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said these are the criminal illegal aliens Gov. J.B. Pritzker, Mayor Brandon Johnson and their fellow sanctuary politicians protect over law-abiding American citizens.
Man sentenced for child sex abuse materials
A southern Illinois district judge sentenced an Indiana man to more than 24 years in federal prison for soliciting child sexual abuse material.
Bryan K. Atkins, 40, of Richmond, Indiana, pleaded guilty to two counts of solicitation of child pornography.
Atkins had a prior conviction for sexual misconduct with a minor in Indiana state court.
Call for veterans tributes
State Sen. Craig Wilcox, R-Woodstock, and his Senate Republican colleagues are inviting friends and families of war veterans to pay tribute to their loved ones at the Illinois State Capitol.
Wilcox encouraged loved ones to submit stories and photos for the Veterans Day Wall of Honor by Oct. 24.
The Wall of Honor is scheduled to be on display from Oct. 28 to Nov. 13.
