WATCH: Trump appeals Guard TRO as DHS looks to ‘double down’ law enforcement in Chicago
(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Editor Greg Bishop reviews the latest in the legal battle over whether the Trump administration has the justification to use the National Guard in Illinois. Bishop also discusses the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announcing they’re buying more property in Chicago to conduct federal law enforcement operations. Illinois law prohibits public property like county jails from being contracted to house illegal aliens being processed for deportation.
