Following a weekend storm that covered Casey in more than 5 inches of snow, updated forecasts indicate that winter conditions will persist this week with another round of accumulation expected Tuesday.

The majority of this precipitation fell on Saturday, Nov. 29, which recorded a daily total of 5.2 inches. Residents should also prepare for significantly colder temperatures as the week progresses. While Wednesday may see a high near 35 degrees, a cold front is expected to move through by Thursday, Dec. 4, limiting the daytime high to near 20 degrees.

By Friday night, Dec. 5, the low temperature is forecast to drop to around 5 degrees.

The forecast also indicates a chance of light snow on Monday afternoon and again on Friday. Looking ahead to the following weekend, there is a slight chance of freezing rain Saturday night into Sunday, Dec. 7.
