The Casey-Westfield Warriors welcomed Cisne for their home opener and established dominance immediately, cruising to a massive 96-34 non-conference victory. The Junior Varsity squad completed the sweep with a 56-36 win.

Varsity Action
Leighton Jones opened the scoring off an assist from Jackson High. After Cisne hit their lone basket of the first quarter, the Warriors unleashed a torrent of offense.

Casey-Westfield rattled off 27 unanswered points, with High, Jones, and Daryn Hupp leading the charge. The Warrior defense was suffocating, creating multiple transition opportunities. Leading 29-2, the Purple and Gold continued to score at will. Jones found High for an uncontested three-pointer, and a steal by Landon Justice resulted in a layup for a 34-4 advantage.

Back-to-back steals by Jack Julius led to an easy layup for Jones. The cycle of deflections and steals by the CW defense fueled easy transition baskets, building a commanding 60-14 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, the Warriors rotated multiple lineups but continued to build on their advantage, outscoring the guests 23-20. The Warrior defense pitched a shutout in the fourth quarter while adding 13 points to the board to finalize the 96-34 victory.

Leighton Jones exploded for a career-high 30 points, scoring all of them in the first half. Jackson High added 14 points, while Daryn Hupp and Landon Justice each scored nine. Drake Worby and Riley Phillips finished with eight points apiece.

Fred Thomas and Justice led the rebounding effort with six boards each. Julius anchored the defense with five steals, followed by Clement with three.
