The Council also received updates on the city’s upcoming 250th-anniversary celebrations and police training compliance before adjourning.

Additionally, the Council confirmed that while fireworks will be held on Sunday, July 5 this year, the provider has promised that in all future years, the show will take place on July 4, regardless of the day of the week.

Police Department Update:
Chief Adam Henderson reported that the department is fully up-to-date with training board requirements and has received reimbursement from the state for recent academy training.
