The Casey Township Library Board on Thursday, February 5, 2026, reviewed ongoing community outreach efforts, highlighting strong participation in early childhood reading programs and announcing its summer reading theme.

Librarian Gretchen Murphy provided the board with an update on the library’s Imagination Library initiative. The program, which provides books to young children, currently maintains 88 active enrollments. Murphy reported that a total count of 95 children had been enrolled overall, with eight recently graduating out of the program after turning five years old.

Looking ahead to warmer months, Murphy announced that the theme for the upcoming Summer Reading program will be “Plant a Seed, Read.”

The library is also continuing its community partnerships through its Story Walk programming. For the March event, Leslie Duniphan of the local business Simple Blessings is sponsoring the featured book, appropriately titled “Plant Seeds,” which aligns with the library’s upcoming seasonal themes.
