The board honored the memory of District 3 Board Member Jim Bolin and Tiffany Macke, noting in the minutes that both were “well respected community leaders and will be missed by all.”

Following the tribute, Chairman Goble formally declared a vacancy in Board District 3. To fill the seat, the board was presented with a letter of recommendation from the Republican Central Committee endorsing Darin Patrick.

Board Member Susan Guinnip made a motion to approve Patrick’s appointment to fill the vacancy, which was seconded by Board Member Randal Stephens. Following a roll call, all present board members voted “aye” to adopt the motion.

Immediately following the unanimous vote, Judge Resch administered the Oath of Office, formally seating Patrick for the remainder of the meeting.
